Since Mark has disappeared, Zed unleashes his fury on untold numbers of infected in his path as he makes his way back to the hospital, in an attempt to rescue Steph, a nurse whom he befriended while seeking help for the feverish Murphy shortly after the prison riot. Russell, whose home the others plundered in search of food and other supplies, is also a slow burn, but lower-functioning, childlike and docile.Īfter seeing the carnage at the dormitory, a raging, vengeful Zed wants only to kill Mark, his nemesis and the former leader of the ROTC squad. Mandi, whom Zed and Murphy rescued from the bunker, is immune to the virus. Ford learns Pinks is an FBI undercover, Nora tried to get Jeffrey out of jail (he's Isaac's cousin Jeffrey ends up shot). Ford begins to put it all together, realizes Nora is isn't black, but a white woman in disguised, and is a business partner with the drug lord, and she's the beneficiary if he dies, with monies in the Cayman Islands. They learn Nora set up Isaac to be killed, but he and Nora end up killing the assassins, and end up at Nora's for the hot lovin' (when she killed Isaac). Nora points out Isaac at Ford's campaign dinner, saying he's Rupert, and Isaac pretends to be Rupert and accepts a $10,000 cash payment for an unspecified job at 5am. Ford asks Pinks what's going on at 5am, but he doesn't know. Isaac's phone records show his last call was to Ford's office, and he had voicemail there, but Ford lies and claims he had no messages. Two cops check out Isaac's, and they arrive as someone has torched it the cops shoot the fleeing Omen gang-member arsonists. The police chief wants to investigate the shooting, but Ford asks him to wait for the morning.
Ford and Pinks talk, and Pinks offers to provide details of Nora and Isaac's meetings. (Ford is upset, as he's also having an affair with Nora.) Ford asks Nora for the truth, and she tells him a story of bribing Isaac to learn more about drug dealings (she prosecutes such cases). Snitch Pinks wants to talk, but only to Ford they chat, and Pinks says Nora has known Isaac for several months and are having an affair, and Pinks was at Nora's to see Isaac. Ford gets the story from Nina of Isaac following her and forcing himself on her.
